Arline/Don California, Day 6, Oct 18, 2019

Last night was quite a challenge.  The front that was causing all the winds yesterday came though about midnight and really brought some winds behind it.  The camp shook so bad I was wishing that i had gotten some stabilizers.  That went on for about 2 hours before I went back to sleep.  So I did manage to sleep later was still refreshed this morning.

Really had a great day.....even though the winds were back they weren't as bad.  Left Utah and crossed through a corner of Arizona before arriving in Nevada.  Staying at Nellis AFB which really has a great campground....Desert Eagle.  The journey here went quickly since I got here by 11:00 am, even though I left a little later than normal......of course there was a time change so it was really noon.  Again saw some beautiful scenery but again very barren.

The campground here is really nice but took a tour on my scooter and there are at least 250 sites and they are nice, and there are very few unoccupied sites.  Another thing is that most of the RVs here dwarf my RV.  Some are huge and have got to be their primary home.  I am really happy with my 'little' RV.

  1. You are right about the winds, but I think I will have them again tomorrow. Into every life a little wind must blow.....
