Arline/Don California, Day 3, Oct 15, 2019

What a fantastic day we had today.  Got a good nights sleep last night and an early start this morning.  I drove to Denver where I found a locksmith who made me a complete set of keys....in fact I had him make 2 sets just in case.   Then I went to Lowes where I purchased another piece of Plexiglas because the plastic I bought....puff.... was torn to shreds by the wind..  So I am going to try and install the Plexiglas so that it will be fall out.??????

That took me most of the morning but as I approached Denver I did get my first look at the Rocky Mountains.  They looked good but what I actually saw driving through the Rockies was so fantastic I can't put it into words....the longer I drove the better it got.  I might have made a few people upset because I was driving so slow.....50 mph in a 75 mph zone.  I can't understand why people want to drive so fast through an utterly awesome area.  I did manage to get a few pictures but the most gorgeous area I didn't have a place to pull over.  As I was driving I wondered if God handcrafted the mountains to show his majesty and glory, because they certainly reflect it at least or did he just do it all in one word.  As I admired the beauty, I sometimes wondered why God made a specific mountain the shape he did and then I started imagining what the shapes looked like......you can tell my mind wandered. The following are some pictures, but they just don't do justice to the majesty of his creation.

10/16/19 --- Had a good night and slept well.  I have reached a point in my journey where I have an extra day.  I thought I might just stay in the KOA campground, but decided to move down the road to a state park... James M Robb - Colorado River State Park.  They just have walk-ins, which I think means first come first serve.  The following is a picture from the KOA.
Love that camper but it probably cost about $150,000 - 200,000...It even has a built in satellite receiver.  KOA did suggest that we disconnect the water hose because it could freeze.  I did it but the temp only got down to 33 degrees.

  1. It sounds like a terrific day. I agree that God is expressed in so many ways through His creation and I am really glad you are enjoying the beauty of it. Good luck with the window. Will this repair still involve duct tape?
