Indian Creek COE - (5/25-27/21)

 Tue, May 25

Took it nice and easy getting ready to go, finally getting away about 9 am.  Got here about noon and wasn't initially thrilled about the site I had reserved and looked around to see if I wanted to transfer to another site, but decided to just stay with it.  Turns out that it is really a great site for me.

Although there are several trees there must be enough space because I am able to receive satellite.  Got set up and although there is some light rain, I took a bike ride locally, after lunch.  Came across a site and the truck had a Vietnam sticker on it so I stopped to talk with a guy that was doing something with the truck.  Turns out there are four guys there and he wasn't the guy that went to 'nam. They called him out and it is really a nice guy....very much a believer.  We had a pretty good conversation and left each other with blessings.

Fixed some fish over the fire with corn-on-the cob.....all really good.  Like site a lot more because there is no one near me and I can listen to my music with the soundbar and enjoy the fire.  Fixed the over-the-cab bunk with my sleeping bag liner.  It all turned out really good....slept good until about 1 am , played with my phone and went back to sleep until about 5:30.....felt like a got a good nights sleep.  Should just bothered me a little.

Wed, May 26

Got up and fixed French Toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon over the fire.....wow..it was great.  Just feeling that everything is working well....thank you Lord.

Took a nice long bike ride and, of course I was really tired by the time I got back.  I still really like this campground....it seems to have a lot to offer, good views, and the sites are great....although not too level.  Ended up just watching a movies....which I would probably be doing at home, but the atmosphere here is great.

Even had a deer come by.....didn't seem scared at all.

Left for home about  9:00 thinking I might get home before the thunderstorms moved in.....bad decision.   The storms came through fast and I ended up having to pull over a couple of times.  Then it went through and so I thought I would follow it home, but I guess it waited for me and I ended up catching up with it, so it was with me the rest of the way home.  At least it wasn't as bad as when I had to pull over........Still a wonderful trip and Jesus was with me all the time....no injuries!!
