May 18 - 20. Seems I lost most of my notes for the rest of the trip so I will just cover the highlights as I remember them.
I had a pain in the lower front side the morning I left and it didn't really get better as I drove to the first camping spot. When I got there I got set up and then decided I should have it looked at. Checked the internet and came up with two places...One was a hospital and the other was something called Apple Care. I checked out Apple Care on the internet and it first gave me the Apple computer care but then put medical in the search and it came up with a urgent care place. I decided if I went to the hospital they would want to do all kinds of tests and who knows how long I would be there. So I went to Apple Care. The nurse practitioner said I probably had an infection in my lower intestine and gave me an antibiotic since I was running a low grade fever. It did the job because by next morning I was feeling good.
The rest of the trip was uneventful as the pain never returned. Did have some problems getting through Nashville due to traffic. Google gave me an alternate route which saved me an hour.

May 17 Universal Orlando
May 17, Friday: Well, this is the last day but it too was a great day. My cold is better, but chest hurts from all the coughing. Advil is helping that. Took off about 7:30 am on my scooter to the hotel. Met the Kupplers and we loaded on the boat for Universal. We went to a different park....not really sure what it was but it had Harry Potter again. We went on the Kong ride and that was a lot of fun.....WOW what they can do with technology now. Also rode Dumbo type ride and the carousel. I think they did that for my benefit, and it was neat.
David & Mary went on another roller coaster ride....they sure like them. Lot warmer today so Jessie and I found some shade. I forgot to mention it, but Jessica did a wall climb and range the bell. Then they challenged her to do a harder one which she did again. Then....he challenged her to a race...even though Jessie got a head start he won, but she sure gave it a valid effort. She is still sore today from those 3 climbs. Late in the afternoon, Jessie decided to go back to the pool to get some sun, while David, Mary and I went to see John Wick.....another totally action movie. I then rode my scooter back to the camper.....another great day.
May 15 - 16 Universal Orlando
May 15, Wednesday. Well, as God would have it I seemed to have caught a cold. After I got back to the camper yesterday, I laid down on the couch and slept for 2 hours, then I got up and went to bed and slept until 3:30 this morning. Then catching naps getting ready to leave for the hotel....meeting them at 7:45 to get an early start....OK with me since I am up anyhow.
May 16, Thursday: I lot has happened since my last entry. Wed was a full day again. I found a Walgreen and got some NyQuil for my cold. Then met the Kupplers and we went on a few rides...don't remember them all, but do remember Fast and Furious which a a great ride. Jessie and I played some games which was fun while David & Mary went on some roller coaster ride. It was another fun day. On the way back to the campground though I had my first accident on my scooter. It seems it tried to do a wheelie and I ended up going over backwards landing on my side. I wasn't really hurt except for a scraped elbow, but my toy got scratched up quite a bit and the basket was really bent up pretty bad. I was able to straighten out some but will need to be replaced. By the time I was don't with all of that, I was really tired. I fixed a pot pie and then I ended up going to bed and slept for 14 hours. I did wake up and call David and told him I wasn't going to make it. Got up about 10 am, Mary called, and so I got up and had some oatmeal. She said how wonderful the Cabana was and they had a bed that I could lay down. Well, I thought it would be great if I could make it, so I got ready and took off. While I was getting ready, my neighbors came over to talk about my scooter. We had a great conversation as they are volunteers for churches.....very interesting. I left and got there but it was kind of crazy......fun with the scooter cause I can go just about anywhere....i.e., around car gates etc. Saw what appeared to be an entrance to the Volcano Bay, as they had a security checkpoint.....met some nice security people and they told me where to go get checked in to Volcano Bay. Turns out David was monitoring my progress and met me at the check-in. Didn't do anything but it all looked like fun and I am glad I went. When we left David took me to the way he came in which was different then the way I came in, so we separated and I ended up riding my scooter all though many hotels, etc until I finally found a road and then Google maps helped me get back to the camper. I just love my scooter!!!!! I still have my cold but it is better....I think. Ready to go to bed.
May 14 - Universal Orlando
May 14, Tuesday. Had a great night last night....slept like a rock (not sure how a rock sleeps but it sounds good). That sweet girl...Cari...got up very early this morning to take the David Kuppler family to the airport. Evidently everything went well with them... While they were going through that hassle I was fixing some bacon and eggs. I would have cooked them over a fire but .....can you believe it.....this campground doesn't allow campfires.....I guess there had to be something bad about it. So I fixed them in the motorhome and they were still good. After getting everything clean up I took off to meet them at their hotel.....about 7:30 am. So I got there very early (Only takes about 35 minutes) and explored the hotel complex....a couple of times. The Kuppler family got there about 11:00 am. They got checked in and we decided to get something to eat on the 'Cat Walk'. We took the boat 'taxi' to Universal and I found out they have some tough security. I had a knife with me - like is always do- and they were going to confiscate it, but they let me take it up to the hotel who had some lock boxes and I left it there. Of course we missed the boat and had to take the next one. David, Mary, and Jessica are being very patient with me. We found a place just off the boat dock just as the downpour started....it lasted for a long time. They decided to get some ponchos...I already had one that covered the scooter. So we walked around before going to the first show.....The Minions. Turns out that it is my favorite so far. We also saw Shreck, and Jimmy Fallon (I closed my eyes though a lot of it). Not too long after that everyone decided to head back. I went with them because there was some issue with the tickets that David had to redo them. Then I took off for the camper and......well.....I got a little confused and ended up heading South when my camper was North. By the time I realized my mistake I was way down the wrong road. I got out my Google Maps and ended up taking a different way back which, of course, took me a lot longer.....Experience is a great teacher. All n all it was really great day....and I am glad I had my scooter or I would have stopped a lot sooner and gone a lot slower. The journey continues....
Universal May 12 - 13
May 12, Sunday...Mothers Day. It turned out that the office had electricity because they are on a different transformer then the campground. So they said to come on down...which I did. I had Chicken Fried Steak and watch a wonderful country band of 4 performers and it was really super good. Stayed there for 2 hours listening and by the time I left the campground electricity was back on.
Started out for Fair Harbor RV Campground in Perry, Georgia. Had to go through Atlanta and stupid me, I was thinking that since it was Mothers Day that the traffic would not be too bad....well, guess I don't know much because the traffic was terrible. Most of Atlanta was stop and go....and when I finally got through Atlanta it turned out there were two more 'red' areas that I had to get through and it took a lot of time, but then I was not in a hurry anyhow. Finally got to the Fair Harbor RV Campground and it is really nice. They even have cable TV, so getting the HDMI was not really doing me any good.... Oh well have to take the good with he bad.
May 13, Monday. Had a great night and they had cable TV which I was able to plug into. Ended up watching a old movie....Mrs Doubtfire....I think Robin Williams is the only guy able to make that movie....don't think there will be any remakes which will be as good. I got going early this morning. Having to get use to the time change..... It was really an 'exciting' day as I had some fun with some thunderstorms after I got into Florida. Some of the storms were so heavy that the traffic slowed down to about 45 mph and I put on my flashers because there are still some crazy drivers out there. In fact saw a couple of accidents on the North bound lanes. Got to the rest area just in time for lunch and sat through another thunderstorm. Love being able to get out of the driver's seat and get into the coach without getting wet. So it was getting a little warm and I started the generator so I could start the AC and use the microwave to cook a hot dog. Had a great lunch and the rain stop so I took off again.....only to run into the really bad storm.....fun?????.....I know what they mean when they say 'white knuckle driving'. But, by the Grace of God I did get to the campground and it is really great. Yes, that is a lake....

Took a trip on my scooter to explore, but didn't get all the way to the Kuppler's hotel. Will try it in the morning....weather permitting. Had hoped to make the trip before having to do it for real, but will probably make it without the practice. I didn't have much to do this afternoon because of the rain, so I tried my HDMI cord that I bought couple of days ago and it worked great.....so I watched another movie before the sun came out.
